Biography engraver: Mattheus Sallieth (c. 1749-1791/after 1800) was a Dutch engraver active in Amsterdam, known for topographical and maritime prints. He collaborated with publishers on atlas projects and produced refined copper engravings after contemporary draughtsmen. His work forms part of the late 18th-century Dutch tradition of detailed harbour and city views.
Biography artist: Dirk de Jong (active c. 1780-1810) was a Dutch draughtsman known for topographical and maritime designs. His drawings served as models for engravings in atlases and series depicting Dutch cities and sea-ports during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
