Antique print, titled: ‘Captain Thomas Coram’, Portrait of the philantropist Captain Thomas Coram. He created the London Foundling Hospital, said to be the world’s first incorporated charity. Artists and Engravers: Made by William Nutter after W. Hogarth. Engraved by William Nutter (1754-1802) after W. Hogarth. William Hogarth (1697-1764) was an English painter, printmaker, social critic and cartoonist.
Condition: Very good, given age. A small tear in the bottom margin, closed with tape on the reverse. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
