Biography engraver: William Humphrey (c.1740-c.1810) was a British engraver and printseller active in London. He produced mezzotints after old masters and was known for his portraiture and satirical prints.
Biography artist: Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) was one of the greatest Dutch painters and printmakers of the 17th century. He is celebrated for his dramatic use of light and shadow and his deep psychological insight in portraiture.
