Condition: good, given age. Light soiling and creasing. Left margin, with small tears and thin paper spots and paper loss. Old fold lines. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Frescoes on the fa?ade of a Roman house (now lost), created c. 1522?1527 by Polidoro da Caravaggio.

Biography engraver: Hendrick Goltzius (1558-1617), Dutch Mannerist engraver known for his detailed and masterful works.

Biography artist: Polidoro da Caravaggio (1499-1543), an Italian painter influenced by Raphael, specializing in frescoes.
