Biography engraver: Lucas van Doetechum (active 1554-1572; died before 1589) was a Netherlandish engraver.
Joannes van Doetecum the Elder (1530-1605) was a Dutch engraver-cartographer known for his etched works after genre scenes by Pieter Bruegel the Elder and maps of various cities in the Netherlands. He was born in Deventer and moved to Haarlem in 1578. He was the father of Johannes II, Peter and Baptista, and was the brother of Lucas van Doetecum, with whom he collaborated on many print series.
Biography artist: Hans Vredeman de Vries (1527-c.1607) was a Dutch Renaissance architect, painter, and engineer. Vredeman de Vries is known for his publication in 1583 on garden design and his books with many examples on ornaments (1565) and perspective (1604).
