Honda Bay (unknown). the course of Rio de la Plata, a river between Argentina and Uruguay. This includes Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Each map features a compass rose. From the Atlas: ‘Maritmus & Commercialis …’, by John Senex, published in London, 1728.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after ‘Edmond Halley’. Edmond Halley (1656-1742) was an English astronomer, geophysicist, mathematician, meteorologist, and physicist who is best known for computing the orbit of Halley’s Comet.
Condition: Very good, given age. Original middle fold, as issued. A small tear in the lower middle fold. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
