This print shows a view on the map of Northumberland in the North of England with the course of the roman Hadrians wall. In the upperleft corner coats of arms. In the upper right corner two whales between two mermaids. Ships in the sea. In the lower left corner are two working men leaning on a sigh with the name of the map. French text on the reverse.
Made by an anonymous engraver after Janssonius.
Medium: Engraving with hand colouring on hand laid (verge) paper.

Condition: fair, given age. Brownish. Tears in margins restored. Hole in right margin. Wormhole. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
