Print Description
This hand coloured print shows the map of Ireland. In the lower right corner is the legend which includes color rectangles and the names of provinces, areas or rivers, such as Cannaught (pink) Provinz Ulster(yellow) Provinz Leinster and Munster. The color markings on the map match the list of colors in the legend.
Made by an anonymous engraver after C.F. Weiland.
Medium: Engraving / hand coloured on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 58.5 x 71 cm (23.03 x 27.95 inch). Image size: 48.5 x 59.5 cm. (19.09 x 23.43 inch).
Condition: good, given age. Brownish paper. Fold as published. Folds horizontal. Tears in lower margin restored. Creases. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
