Jacob Jan van der Maaten (Elburg 1820 – Apeldoorn 1879) was a Dutch painter, etcher, draughtsman, lithographer, aquarellist of landscapes, portraits, marines. He was a member of the famous Pulchri Studio, the Haagsche Etsclub, and the Vereniging Koninklijke Academie.

Condition: Good, given age. Brownish image due to previous framing. Brown spots. Restored small tear in right margin. Remains of previous soiling in the left lower corner. Remains of tape glue in upper margin on reverse. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
