Source unknown, to be determined. Provenance: This drawing was sold at the auction of the collection of Abraham Salm in 1859 and again at auction 146 S.J. Mak van Waat,in 1962.
Made by ‘Reinier Craeyvanger’ after own design. Reinier Craeyvanger (1812-1880) was a Dutch painter and etcher from Utrecht. He studied at the Amsterdam Academy under Pieneman. He was a talented musician as well. His work can be found in major museums incl. the Rijksmuseum.
Condition: Good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
