Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de natuurlijke ligging der in de borst en in den buik bevatte deelen, van ter zijde vertoond. alsmede van het ter zijde geopende strottenhoofd, en van de van voren doorgesneden luchtpijp” (the natural location of the parts in the abdomen and chest, seen from the side. the openen larynx. a cross-section of the trachea). Plate LXV, vol. 1, from: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock. This, first, Dutch translation, was prepared and edited by S.J. Galama.Artists and Engravers: Lithographed by: A.J. Backer (Dordrecht). Printed by: G. Ypma (Franeker).

Condition: Very good, minimal age-related toning. Please study scan closely.
