Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate. “Den groote scheede der dije is hier van de dij en van het been weggenomen. De spieren liggen nu bloot, zoodat men den geheelen loop der zenuwen van de dij en van den voet zeer goed kan zien” (the vastus lateralis (?) is taken from the thigh and leg, clearly showing the entire course of the nerves in the thigh, lower leg and foot). Plate CXVIII from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
