Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate, showing “het onderste gedeelte van de wervelkolom eens mans, van af den eersten lendenwervel tot aan het staartbeen” (the lower half of the spine of a man, from the first lumbar vertebra to the coccyx). Plate CXXIX from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
