Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “de boezems der wervelkolom, de aderen des bekkens met de onderste holle ader en den aanvang der ongepaarde ader” (the atria of the spine, the veins of the pelvis with the inferior vena cava, and the start of the vena azygos). Plate XCVI from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
