Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “oppervlakkige aderen van de achterzijde des romps, alsmede van de aderen des bals en der zaadvatenstreng” (the superficial veins of the rear of the torso, the veins of the testicles). Plate CIII from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock. This, first, Dutch translation, was prepared and edited by S.J. Galama.Artists and Engravers: Lithographed by: A.J. Backer (Dordrecht). Printed by: G. Ypma (Franeker).

Condition: Very good, minimal age-related toning. Please study scan closely.
