Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate showing “diepliggende deelen van de regter helft des bovenlijfs en van den arm” (the deep lying parts of the right half of the upper body and arm. The chest muscles are laid outward and certain muscles in the arm are cut to show the course of the deeper veins). Plate C from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
