3 Antique drawings, titled: ”Chinese begrafenis. Singapoer. 27-2-67.” – Three watercolours of various features of a Chinese funeral in Singapore. One of the drawings shows mourners near a coffin. The second shows musicians preceding the funeral procession. The third image shows ”The Street of the Dead with the funeral waggon”. All three have manuscript notes and sketches in ballpoint on the verso. Titled and signed in ball point in the lower edge.Artists and Engravers: Made by an anonymous engraver after ‘Evert Jan Ligtelijn’. Evert Jan Ligtelijn (1893-1975) was a Dutch self-taught artist. He made many city views of Amsterdam, but was also a very active painter during his travels.
Condition: Good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
