‘Poort te Rothenburg.’

(Colour) Etching on handlaid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 25,7 x 31,7 cm. (10,1 x 12,5 inch). Image size: 15,5 x 20 cm. (6,1 x 7,9 inch).

Made by ‘Martin van Waning’ after ‘Friedrich Görtitz’. Gijsbertus Martinus Wilhelmus Franciscus (Martin) van Waning (1889 – 1972) was a Dutch sculptor and painter. Friedrich Görtitz (1890-1973) was a German painter and Graphic artist.

Condition: Very good, given age. Van Waning in very good condition, small restored tear in left margin; Görtitz brown spots in margin not visible in plate, restored tear of 1 cm in upper side of the plate. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
