Biography engraver: Lucas Emil Vorsterman (1595–1675) was a Flemish engraver from Antwerp and one of the foremost reproductive engravers of the Baroque period. A close collaborator of Rubens and later associated with Van Dyck, he became celebrated for his technically refined engravings and portraits after major Flemish masters.
Biography artist: Sir Anthony van Dyck (1599–1641) was a Flemish Baroque painter and draughtsman internationally renowned for his elegant portraits. His Iconographie series of etched and engraved portraits became one of the most influential print publications of the 17th century.
