Biography engraver: Willem Jacobsz. Delff (1580–1638) was a Dutch engraver from Delft, celebrated for his highly refined portrait engravings. He worked after paintings by major Dutch and Flemish masters and became one of the most accomplished reproductive engravers of the Dutch Golden Age.
Biography artist: Sir Anthony van Dyck (1599–1641) was a Flemish Baroque painter and draughtsman renowned for his aristocratic portraiture. His Iconographie portrait series became one of the most influential print projects of the 17th century.
