Condition: very good, given age. Light foxing, creasing and soiling. Wide margins. Small tear at top middle, backed. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Philips Galle (1537-1612) was a leading Dutch engraver and print publisher active in Haarlem and later Antwerp, known for reproducing the works of Heemskerck and others.

Biography artist: Maarten van Heemskerck (1498-1574), Dutch Mannerist painter and draughtsman, famed for his religious compositions and Roman sketchbooks; influential through prints after his work.
