Condition: very good, given age. Light soiling. A bit stained at top left corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
From a series of twelve plates after Giotto: ‘Queste Pittura di Giotto nella Chiesa del Carmine, etc.’, c.1770.
Biography engraver: Thomas Patch (1725-1782) was an English painter, printmaker, physiognomist and art historian. He also studied early Italian art and published a series of prints. He was active in Italy from 1747 on and was an important contact for British visiting Florence and doing the grand tour.
