Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate, showing “oppervlakkige watervaten van het onderste gedeelte des buiks en van het bovenste gedeelte der dije, der watervatenvlechten van het bekken en in het algemeen der watervaten van het darmkanaal” (superficial lymphatic vessels of the lower part of the belly en the upper part of the thigh, the lymphatic plexus of the pelvis and in general the lymphatic system of the intestines). Plate CXL from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
