Handcoloured lithographed anatomical plate, showing “oppervlakkige watervaten van een gedeelte des dunnen darms, die des dikken darms, der inwendige vrouwelijke teeldelen, alsmede der lendenvlecht met hare klieren” (superficial lymphatic vessels of part of the small intestine, that of the large intestine, of the internal parts of the female reproductional organ, and the lumbar plexus and its glands). Plate CXLIV from volume 2. From: “Magazijn van ontleedkunde, of volledige verzameling van ontleedkundige afbeeldingen van het menschelijk ligchaam” (Amsterdam, C.G. Sulpke, [1839]). These plates are lithographed after drawings by the foremost physicians of the time, such as Rosenmuller, Loder, Karel Bell, Gordon & Bock.
