Ah! Mechant, tu me reveilles.
(Ah! You unkind one, you wake me up.) Antique print showing a French historic figure woken. Probably dealing with the French Revolution. Any further input appreciated.
Etching with original hand colouring on hand laid paper.
Sheet size: 34,5 x 24 cm. Image size: 25,3 x 18,5 cm.
Engraver, artist, publisher to be determined. Anonymous.
Condition: Good, given age. Light creasing, soiling and staining. Remains of paper on rear from previous attachment. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
