Condition: Wrappers with dog ears; small tears in paper edges, not effecting images. Inquire about a detailed condition analysis.

Portraits (fine aquatint etchings with stipple engraving on hand laid paper) made by Charles-Francois-Gabriel Levachez (French; active c. 1760-1820).

Scenes (etchings) by Jean Duplessis Berteaux (French; 1750-1818).

Published by Didot l’Ainee in 1802, who also published a series of scenes depicting the French Revolution, published in a similar manner: ‘Tableaux historiques de la Revolution Francaise …’

Only few plates are offered worldwide. Very rare as a complete set of all portraits.
