Made by ‘Daniel Veelwaard’ after ‘J. Boelen’. Daniel Veelwaard Junior (1796-1868) was a Dutch engraver and map-engraver, pupil of his father Daniel Veelwaard. Jacobus Boelen Jhz. (1791-1876) was a decorated marine officer most of his life in French and Dutch service. During a leaf of absence he undertook some large voyages on a merchant ship and recorded these in the described work.
Condition: Very good, given age. Opriginal folding as issued. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
