Antique print, titled: ‘Het kasteel te Heukelum.’ – (The Heukelum castle.) Attractive view onto the castle of Heukelum, The Netherlands. Probably published by P. Fouquet in Amsterdam. Probably published as part of a small collection of prints, bound in a wrapper held together by a cord. Numbered #6.Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘A. Radigues’ after ‘J. de Beijer’. Antoine / Anton Jacovlevitch Radigues / Radiguer / Radiguez (1721-1809) was a French engraver from Paris. He was the son of Jacques Vivencien R.. He travelled to England, Holland and Russia and became a professor at the St. Petersburg academy. Jan de Beijer (1703 – 1780), also given as Jan de Beyer, was a Dutch draughtsman and painter known for this drawings of towns and buildings in the present-day countries of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. In total, he produced some 1500 drawings, over 600 of which were reproduced as engravings by other artists.
Condition: Excellent, given age. Small holes in left margin from binding in wrapper. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
