Antique print, titled: ”Adam et Eve dans le paradis terrestre.” – Adam and Eve in the eartly paradise. Apparantly an undescribed print by Gole, rare. Provenance: Anonymous (Lugt 2909-2909A).Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Jacob Gole’ after own design. Jacob Gole (ca. 1660-1737) belonged to a group of French refugees who came to the Northern Netherlands in the end of the 17th. Century. He worked in close collaboration with Cornelis Dusart and specialized in the making of mezzotints.
Condition: Good, given age. Small margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
