Antique print, titled: ‘Utrecht.’ – Emblematic panoramic view of Urecht, The Netherlands. In the foreground Greek gods including Pan and Acteon. Plate numbered 86 from: ‘Der auf Ordre und Kosten Seines Kaysers reisende Chineser, …’, by D. Fassmann, first published periodically in 4 volumes from 1721-1733. A Dutch edition: ‘De Reizende Chinees …’, was published in Amsterdam, Hendrik Bosch, 1727-1728.
Artists and Engravers: Made by ‘Johann Christop Dehne’ after own design. Johann Christop Dehne (German. 1713-1741). Author: David F. Fassmann (1685-1744) was a German author / journalist, historian and publisher. From 1718 to 1739 he published the moral weekly periodical ‘Gesprache in dem Reiche derer Todten …’.
Condition: Very good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
