Medium: Lithograph with remains of hand colouring on wove paper.

Sheet size: 31.5 x 23.5 cm (12.4 x 9.25 inch). Image size: 28.5 x 21.5 cm. (11.22 x 8.46 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Light foxing, creasing and soiling. Small tears at top left and bottom middle paper edge. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Biography engraver: Jean Augustin Daiwaille (1786 – 1850) was a Dutch portrait painter and lithographer. He was director of the Rijksakademie from 1820 to 1826.

Biography artist: Barend Cornelis Koekkoek (1803–1862), a preeminent Dutch Romantic landscape painter.
