This beautiful print has been published by T.F.L. Nees von Esenbeck (1787-1837) and W. Sinning (1792-1874) in Sammlung Schonbluhender Gewachse fur Blumen und Gartenfreunde. One of the rarer nineteenth century flower books. Nees von Esenbeck was Director of the Botanic Garden at Bonn, Sinning its head-gardener, and their work is a catalogue of the exotics growing there, including camellias, magnolia and banksias. 100 hand-coloured lithographic plates by Henry, Hohe and Wild.

Condition: Good, given age. Small piece of paper missing in upper left corner, brown edges, some small stains, small tears been restored in margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
