BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Part of a series called “Veues et perspectives de la ville de Cleves et sa cour … le Tout dessine et grave par les plus habiles maistras.” (also part of ”Veues et Perspectives.”) published by Gerad Valck in Amsterdam, 1695.

Biography artist: Gerard Valck (1652-1726) was a Dutch engraver, publisher and cartographer. He was the business partner and brother-in-law of Petrus Schenck. He was one of the first publisher to publish (a la poupee) colour prints.
