Made by ‘Hendrick Goudt’ after ‘Adam Elsheimer’. Hendrick Goudt (1585-c.1648) was a Dutch golden-age engraver and painter of landscapes and religious subjects. Het was strongly influenced by Elsheimer. He only made a few engravings, of which this one is the rarest. Adam Elsheimer (1578-1610) was a German painter. He was active in Rome and Amsterdam and highly influential on many Dutch artists in his time.
Condition: Good, given age. Trimmed at the image. Attached to carrier with hand draws border. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
