Medium: Engraving on hand laid (verge) paper.

Condition: very good, given age. Trimmed to the image. Light soiling and small small holes in bottom tekst area. Vague horizontal fold line, not noticable at the front. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Biography engraver: Lucas Kilian (1579?1637) was a German engraver from Augsburg, known for his detailed portrait engravings and work commemorating historical and religious figures. Member of the Kilian dynasty of artists.

Biography artist: Albrecht D?rer (1471?1528) was a German Renaissance artist, acclaimed for his woodcuts, engravings, and theoretical writings on perspective and proportion. His work bridged Northern European and Italian Renaissance styles.
