Condition: very good, given age. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

Biography engraver: Daniel Hopfer (German; ca. 1470-1536) worked in Augsburg from 1494, where he worked as an armourer and was the first the adapt etching on iron to printmaking.. He was the son of the painter Bartholomaus Hopfer from Kaufbeuren in Swabia, Germany. He produced 145 prints with great variety in subjects.
