Vermaakshalven voorgelezen in, en opgedraagen aan, de Maatschappij der Verdiensten, onder de spreuk Felix merites, door A. Fokke Simonsz., (Haarlem, F. Bohn, 1794-1806).’ (Transl.: Secretive ingredients for a rough trip through Europe. Entertainmently read and dedicated to the Society of Accomplishments under the motto Felix Merites …) This work describes the history of England, France and ends with the accomplishments of women vs. men. Ref: Lewes – Mercator’s World Vol. 4, No. 1 – The Female Landscape.Artists and Engravers: Arend Fokke Simonsz (Amsterdam 1755-1812) was a Dutch writer and literator. Printed by Francois Bohn in Haarlem, who was active from 1786 till 1819.
