Made by J.S. Klauber after N. Dance. Joseph Sebastian Klauber (1710-1768) was a German miniaturist and engraver of mostly religious subjects from Augsburg. He was a pupil of Antoine Birckhaert in Prague. Captain James Cook FRS (1728-1779) was a famous British explorer, navigator, cartographer, and captain in the Royal Navy.
Condition: Very good, given age. Irregularities at left from binding. Light soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
