This print originates from ‘The Cabinet of Genius’, published 1787 in London by Taylor.
Made by W. Nutter after S. Shelley. William Nutter (1759-1802) was an English draughtsman and engraver. He worked exclusively in stipple engraving in the style of Bartolozzi. Samuel Shelley (1756-1808) was a London-born artist. He was greatly influenced by Joshua Reynolds, despite being self-taught as a miniaturist.
Condition: Good, given age. Some foxing in the margins, can be framed out General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
