By Théophile Deman. Signed at bottom left. Not much is known about this artist. According to Vollmer he is a late 19th / early 20th c. artist, mostly active as a sculptor, but also made crayon drawings of landscapes in a pointilist similar style. He originates from Steenvoorde in French Flanders. He is active in Paris and at the Salon until 1930. ‘Euterpe’ (1898) is a stutue mentioned.
