Signed in the lower right. The title was taken from the collection index card included with the drawing. Provenance: From a private collection, purchased in 1984. Further provenance unknown.
Made by ‘Gerard Princée’ after own design. Gerard Princée (1908-1999) was a Dutch artist and art teacher. He made murals, monumental art, paintings and gouaches. From 1938 he studied in Paris at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere and Academie Julian, before returning to the Netherlands in 1947.
Condition: Very good, given age. Some faint staining in the sheet edges (from former tape from matting on the rear). Tape remains on the verso. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
