Plate: Uniformen des deutschen Reichsheeres und der Marine. This map shows differnt kinds of military uniforms, in particular the German uniforms. Copy of legend included. This attractive original old antique print / plate originates from a famous German encyclopedia: ‘Meyers grosses Konversations-Lexikon.’ ca. 1897 edition, published in Leipzig and Vienna. Meyers Konversations-Lexikon was a major German encyclopedia that existed in various editions from 1839 until 1984, when it merged with the Brockhaus encyclopedia.Artists and Engravers: The original founder and publisher who initiated this famous enxyclopedia was Joseph Meyer (1796-1856, Hildburghausen, Germany).

Condition: Fine. Original middle fold, as issued. Small tear in lower part of fold, consolidated with acid free tape. General age-related toning and occasional light stains from handling. Please study image carefully.
