Plate: Osterreichisch-Ungarische Landerwappen (Austrian-Hungarian country heraldry). This plate shows different kinds of country symbols, including the one of Croatia, Salzburg, Tirol and Hungary. The Austrian caot of arms with two eagles is also shown. This print is from the 6th edition of Meyers”” Konversationslexikon. This original print originates from the fifth edition of Meyers’ Konversationslexikon. This famous German encyclopedia was published 1893-1901. The same prints were used for similar publications, such as Brockhaus’ encyclopedia, and the Dutch encyclopedias of Oosthoek and Winkler Prins.Artists and Engravers: The original founder and publisher who initiated this famous encyclopedia was Joseph Meyer (1796-1856, Hildburghausen, Germany).

Condition: Very good, given age. Original middle fold, as issued. General age related toning and occasional light staining from handling as visible on image. Please study scan carefully.
