‘FREEDOM – IN MEMORIAM PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT’

– A Dutch WWII-era memorial propaganda poster honoring U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The design features an American and Dutch flag woven together with the words “FREEDOM” at the top, a classical column with “FR” in red, and a poem dedicated to Roosevelt by Fedde Schurer. The bottom of the composition prominently displays shattered Nazi swastikas, symbolizing the downfall of the Axis powers. The poster was issued in the Netherlands by N.V.
