Copperplate engraving/etching on hand laid (verge) paper.
Sheet size: 19,8 x 26,8 cm. (7,8 x 10,6 inch). Image size: 17,7 x 23,8 cm. (7 x 9,4 inch).

This print originates from Portlock and Dixon’s Voyage round the World, performed in 1785, 1786, 1787 and 1788, published by Matthias Schalekamp.

Made by ‘Anonymous’ after ‘Portlock-Dixon’. Engraver unknown/to be determined.

Condition: Fair, given age. A few tiny spots. Repaired tear right side extending 6 cm into image. A few small creases lower right. Original folds as issued. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
