Medium: Stipple engraving/etching on wove paper.

Sheet size: 17.2 x 24 cm (6.77 x 9.45 inch). Image size: 16 x 9 cm. (6.3 x 3.54 inch).

Condition: good, given age. Some foxing and small spots. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Published in The Netherlands c. 1800.

Biography engraver: Lambertus Antonius Claessens (Dutch; 1764-1834) was a pupil of F. Bartolozzi. He worked in Amsterdam and later in Paris.

Biography artist: Wybrand Hendriks (Dutch; 1744-1831) worked in Haarlem. He was also the curator of the Teylers-Museum.
