Biography engraver: Mathias de Sallieth (1749-1791) was a Dutch engraver and printmaker, active in Rotterdam. He produced portraits and book illustrations, often combining etching with stipple and engraving techniques. His work reflects the refined portrait style of the late 18th century.
Biography artist: Johannes Craco was an 18th-century draughtsman active in the Netherlands. He designed portrait compositions which were engraved and published by contemporary printmakers and publishers.
