Biography engraver: Pieter Tanje (1706-1761) was a Dutch engraver known for his portraits and historical subjects. He worked in Amsterdam and Leeuwarden and collaborated with leading artists of his time to reproduce painted works as engravings.
Biography artist: Michiel Jansz. van Mierevelt (1567-1641) was a prominent Dutch Golden Age painter, particularly known for his portraiture. He served as court painter and produced likenesses of many leading Dutch and European figures.
