BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Wendingen, a monthly magazine on architecture and decorative arts, published by Architectura et Amicitia, Amsterdam.

Reference: Wendingen archives, Caldic Collection. The collection brought together by Joop van Caldenborgh is known as the Caldic Collection, the largest private art collection in the Netherlands.

Biography artist: Jan Sluijters (1881-1957) was a Dutch painter and graphic artist, known for his contributions to modernism, expressionism, and Art Deco. His works often depicted vivid colors, dynamic compositions, and symbolic figures.
