‘VOOR-BURGH TEN TYDE DER ROMEINEN GENAEMT FORUM HADRIANI’

– An engraved view of Voorburg, historically known as Forum Hadriani, during the late 17th century. The scene features a village landscape with a central church tower, a small shipyard to the right, and a waterway with boats in the foreground. Lush trees and traditional Dutch buildings frame the composition. Created by Coenraet Decker (1650-1685) and published by Pieter Smith (Amsterdam) and Arnold Bon (Delft) between 1678-1703. Originally part of the “Kaart Figuratief” of Delft and later included in Dirk Evertsz. Bleyswijck’s “Beschryvinge der Stadt Delft” (1667, engravings bound in 1680).
